TY Gaisce Walk
The Transition Year students on Wednesday completed the Gaisce Walk at Glendalough. The Gaisce Walk is an important part of the Transition Year, as it allows students to develop important skills such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience and provides a valuable opportunity for students to connect with nature and appreciate the importance of conservation and environmental sustainability. The students completed the Spink and lake route, which is a challenging 16-kilometer walk that takes around 4 hours to complete. They were blessed with perfect weather, which allowed them to fully appreciate the beauty of the Glendalough valley.
