The Transition Year students recently visited the Chocolate Garden of Ireland chocolate factory. It was an educational and enjoyable trip that allowed them to learn about the chocolate-making process. They had the opportunity to see the various stages of chocolate production, from roasting the cocoa beans to tempering the chocolate. The students were fascinated by the skills and techniques used by the chocolatiers. They also got to participate in workshops where they created their own chocolates, experimenting with different flavors and designs. It was a hands-on experience that gave them a better understanding of the art and science behind chocolate making. The students left the factory with newfound knowledge and a selection of chocolates to enjoy.
