The East Leinster Track and Field

A massive well done to all our DCW athletes who competed in UCD this week. Our students competed in 100m, 200m, 300m, 800m, 1500m, 4x100m relay, 3000m, shot put and discus. On Tuesday May 2nd, DCW competed against some of Ireland’s best in Track and Field. For the 3,000 metres Ava Martin brought home the gold. Eva Deehan got bronze for shot put and Kirsty Lauder got silver in the long jump, continuing her success from last year. We are also very proud of our relay, 200m and 800m athletes who gave their all against some very strong competition.

More success followed for DCW on the second day of Track and Field in UCD, East Leinster finals. Eva Deehan brought home another medal, bronze, and will qualify for the Leinsters. While Alex Carey finished 1st winning 1,500 metres. We wish Eva Deehan, Ava Martin, Alex Carey and Kirsty Lauder who will move onto the Leinster Finals commencing the 17th of May in Tullamore.
